Think Tank: Can we fight corruption applying modern technology?

February 25, 2016 @ 6:00 pm UTC+8

Corruption exists in most parts of the world and effects the everyday life of citizens. “In the developing world, corruption is public enemy No. 1” according to World Bank President Jim Kim.

To beat corruption one needs to increase transparency and bring in accountability of the actions of these government officials as well as teach the public and inform them about what is wrong. This is what Kristoffer and the team behind Klarity are hoping to do through developing a community where individuals can read about corruption happening in their neighborhood, report corruption cases and add evidence to existing cases already reported. The project is backed by a solid foundation started by an successful internet entrepreneur in Sweden and hopes to bring a large impact globally.

They are still in a very early stage and after doing some initial research they are now starting to design the mockups for an MVP. In this think tank session Kristoffer will present more on how Klarity is aiming to tackle this issue and some of the main hurdles they are facing and open up for participants to give their feedback and ideas that could help the team going forward.

This is members only – registration required.
