Gabriel Fenton is the founder of several Silicon Valley-backed startups and manages a team scattered across Asia. Gabriel and his brother, Casey, who founded Couchsurfing, founded Sovolve, a company creating socially responsible products.
Their second startup, Mastly, was founded in 2015 after the Fenton brothers found it near impossible to reward their early supporters with equity.
Gabriel moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand with the intent of lifting his startup off the ground while working remotely. His deep understanding of how to motivate a team is what pushes Mastly forward and keeps the team focused despite working from the Silicon Valley, to Kathmandu, to Bali.
After spending years in the retail industry, Gabriel is now the Head of Operations of Mastly and acts as an example of how perseverance and strategic networking can break into the Silicon Valley.
